Gedan Barai translates to Low Level Sweep commonly known as Down Block. Key points to remember. When setting to your ear the the palm of your head should face your ear sort of like you are answering a telephone. Both fists should be closed tightly. Both elbows should be held close together. Hand that is by the ear does the downward blocking movement following the extended arm downward. Hand that is out pulls straight to your hip remember to rub your elbow along the side of your body when pulling.

Choku Tsuki translates to Straight Punch. Punching hand fist should be aimed to your solar plexus center of body. Remember to keep your elbows tucked in rubbing both sides of your stomach when punching and pulling. Always keep your fists tight and never bend your wrists.
