Another great meeting tonight with 4 new visitors!

Big congratulations to Jason Garrett on scoring 3rd place at the STATE LEVEL INTERNATIONAL SPEECH CONTEST! This is no small feat, having had to pass through area and district contest to even get to this point! Jason proved once again that members of our club have some serious gifts of communication ability!

Recently the Republican Party has been racking up some huge wins. For example, the second Amendment is still technically part of the constitution after grass roots activist pressured washington into stopping certain gun legislation. What does that have to do with Toastmasters? A lot. That victory, and others like it, would not be possible without leaders at every level clearly being able to communicate a vision. We need more communicators, be it the kind that go on to debate in the senate or the kind that can stand up and give a two minute defense of the right to private property to colleagues. We need them. How do we get them. We build them. We build them by going to Toastmasters.

Enjoyable meeting last night! We are trying something new with recording the speeches for increased performance development. However, it will most likely take till the end of the weekend for the feedback to be published. Stand by for updates!
