Today I start my new position as an Aircraft Mechanic Apprentice at Hawaiian Airlines. It's been a long road to get to this point and my work has only just begun but I'm looking forward to what this program has to offer. I will miss my Contract Service Ohana so much! They have been so supportive and encouraging in my journey. My family, as always, there to help me all sorts of hours of the day... all days of the week... no questions asked... have come through to help me with the kids so that I can go to school/ work. You guys rock! So blessed to have you all in my life. Words can not beginning to express my gratitude for what you folks do and continue to do for me...! Ka'i and I on my last day at contract service pushing JIN out. Mr. Hahn, JIN's mechanic, and I in front of the side of their engine. JIN will always have a special place in my heart because it was my very first contract and it was where I grew to learn and love the industry and company. @ Po'i Nā Nalu at Honolulu Community College

ALU LIKE staff from Employment & Training, NHCTEP (Hana Lima), Kumu Kahi and a volunteer with Hoala Hou participated in the first Honouliuli Educational Fair. The fair was held on January 12th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Island Pacific Academy in Kapolei. The fair was held to spotlight and provide access to educational resources and opportunities available to Native Hawaiian ‘ohana, with a focus on Kapolei, ‘Ewa and neighboring communities.
