Improv in Paradise is a 501(c)3 non-profit company created to promote teaching Improvisation, the Art of Unscripted Theater. Theater began as Improvisation, no scripts only players interacting with each other to discover the story. Founded by members of Hawaii's Premier Improv Theater Company, Think Fast, Improv in Paradise focuses on creating educational opportunities for children and adults of all levels of experience.

⭐BIG NEWS! Our classes will be moving back to Chinatown to Honolulu's newest gathering place for improv: Downstage Honolulu! We are super excited for this as we will finally have a space focused on the art of improv.
Our classes at Downstage Honolulu will start in the next few weeks so we will keep you posted. The team is in the final process of cleaning the classrooms so expect a solid date from us shortly!

INCOMING GUEST IMPROVISER: Joe Szaf of Improv Boston
About Joe:
Joe (Szaf) Szafarowicz is a Boston-based improviser and proud Hufflepuff. In 2011, Joe began his acting and comedy career at WPI as part of Kilroy Sketch Comedy and Guerilla Improv. Joe currently plays with the ImprovBoston Family Show among many other groups around Boston. Joe has co-created, produced, and acted in improvised Clue (ClueProv: A Comedy of Murders), improvised radio dramas (Golden Age Radio), improvised Star Trek (To Boldly Go), and annual splatter musicals (GoreFest 15 through 17). Joe currently coaches Northeastern University’s improv group “No Jokes.”
Joe’s improv philosophy is centered around following what is delightful and playing with kindness. He believes in the principles of ImprovBoston’s All Form and considers every improv show one big inside joke the performers are creating and discovering with the audience.
