Initiated by our student leaders, Food Vault Hawai‘i is a student food pantry addressing food insecurity among UH Mānoa students.
Ahead of the Fall 2022 semester, they are asking for your donations to restock the pantry.
Donations can be dropped off at SLD office (Campus Center room #208).
Feel free to contact Food Vault Hawaiʻi at [email protected] if you have any questions
As prices soar, UH scrambles to fill its food pantry for students ahead of fall semester Food Vault Hawaii is especially asking for unexpired canned proteins, breakfast items, beans, and pasta in their original packaging.

Aloha Campus Community,
If you have any information about the damages to the recently coated Campus Center Courtyard stairs, please email the details to [email protected]
It appears someone rode something down the stairs (perhaps a moped, scooter, bicycle, etc) while the coating was still drying and the area roped off. The coating is necessary and includes a seal. This damage will require repair.
We do not have the cost of the necessary repairs yet. Student fees were invested in this project and will pay for repairs. Therefore, on behalf of UHM students who pay student fees, we’d like to attempt to hold the responsible party or parties accountable. We need your help to do so.
Thank you!

It is with heartfelt sadness yet gratitude that we remember our SLD colleague and friend who we lost at the end of September. Sadness for a life ended too soon but gratitude that we had the pleasure to know and work with Pablo Buckingham.
Pablo started at the Office of Student Life and Development to help us fill a vacancy in our Student Life Business Services unit. Since his arrival, Pablo was a positive light to all he came in contact with. We will remember Pablo's smile, his chuckle, his kindness, his gentle nature, and his openness to connect with others to be able to best serve students.
Losing Pablo was unexpected and therefore, perhaps much harder to comprehend and accept. But perhaps Pablo's final lesson for us is life is fragile and we should be good to each other while making the most of it.
Tomorrow is Pablo's service but due to COVID the numbers are limited. We will find ways to still remember him and celebrate his life.
SLD and the students who worked with Pablo are better off having had him as part of our ohana. He will be sorely missed.

We are happy to share that our wayfinding project that has been on-going for a few years is progressing. This weekend, our new external signs were put up in the Campus Center Complex. The internal signs are still in design. The wayfinding project was approved and funded by the Campus Center Board through the Campus Center Operations and Recreation Fee.
During the months we’ve been dealing with COVID, we continue to move the Campus Center projects forward and look forward to a future when UHM students will return in great numbers to face-to-face classes and to the student union.
