MES PTO is happy to once again sponsor the MES portfolios for all of our students.

Thank you to all the MES families and staff members who have already signed up to be part of our MES PTO ʻohana this school year. We're a little over halfway to our goal of 200 members!

By joining MES PTO you are showing your support for our MES students and staff, with dues, donations, and fundraising monies going to fund activities both in and out of the classroom that make learning fun! MES PTO members also get early notification about our family events that are open to the entire school.

Stop by the MES PTO table tomorrow at Meet and Greet and vote on our movie for Movie Night.

We'll also have volunteers on hand to answer questions about MES PTO activities and volunteer opportunities, distribute MES t-shirt pre-orders, and to show sample t-shirts and MES PTO collaboration items.

Don't want to think about dinner? Stop by the 4th grade table early to pick up a pizza and drink combo, and help them raise money for their upcoming Big Island Huakaʻi. Combos are first come, first serve, while supplies last. Cash only.

Back to school is right around the corner, and we can't wait!

Meet and Greet is next week! Stop by the MES PTO table for more information about MES PTO events, volunteer opportunities, t-shirt sample sizes and presale pick-ups, and to vote for our Movie Night movie.

Don't want to worry about dinner that night? Our 4th grade MES PTO volunteers will be selling pizza and drink combos, with funds raised going to help defer the cost of this year's 4th grade Big Island Huakaʻi. Sales are cash only, while supplies last.

MES PTO is proud to sponsor the Reading as Partners program, a fun reading program in which MES students who submit a short themed book report receive prizes. Each month a select number of reports are also featured on our RAP bulletin boards near the library. It's a great way to keep our students energized for reading.

Elaine Treutlein is continuing on as RAP chair this year. Here are a few of her book recommendations for our youngest learners who will be starting kindergarten, as well as some for our older students. If you are interested in helping with RAP email [email protected].
