These Guys are pushing forward with great vigor!
I understand why many shops and individuals are waiting for some division of the NJ Government to give them a green light to move forward under the Third Circuit’s July 17th decision… everyone has a different level of Risk Aversion. Derek Pitera and his team at SC Arms NJ have jumped forward with the freedom activities. Significantly, they have done so very openly and have not received any pushback from NJ LE.
We’ll see what happens if a stay is actually granted, but I’ve spoken to Derek a few times since the decision and they think they are on the right side of this for now. FWIW, I agree.
And, their store will be packed this weekend… 👏👏👏

I was at the B&N with The Young One today. I’m glad this is a popular topic here. I’m just not sure enough people are actually going into book stores to learn the lessons.
(Side Story: While there, I was approached by someone with a “Rob?”… And it turned out to be a student from the Valhalla Training Center days almost 20 years ago!)

Jared (Guns & Gadgets) is doing a series of videos on the 30+ changes that the ATF is enacting. These changes have been met with broad approval from the gun community and misinformation & fear-mongering from gun control advocates. Generally, they are going to be positive changes… but, whenever things like this are going on, we need to approach them skeptically and think about potential second order and long term effects. Jared is asking the right questions about how these changes could be turned against gun owners. The current administration has been known to do 180 degree turns on several issues when it suits them, the Democrats are most likely going to control Congress after the midterms and we can be sure that there will be future administrations that start out much more amenable to restricting gun rights than expanding them.
