✨ Assets School Weekly Roundup ✨

Photos 1–2: The High School Student Senate hosted Soak a Teacher/Senate Member to support Field Day in the spring. Participants could choose their level of splash, from a cup of water to a bucket or cooler! 💦

Photos 3–6: Spirit Week brought plenty of school spirit to our K–8 campus, with pajama day, twin day, and anything-but-a-backpack day! 🎉

Photo 7: Assets High School hosted a spam musubi and root b**r float fundraiser to support those impacted by Lala and help the community prepare for future storms. 🌺

Photo 8: At the K-8 Assembly, Mr. Miles’ music enrichment class performed “Take Me Home, Country Roads” to a rapt audience. 🎶

What a week! A huge MAHALO to the incredible volunteers who rolled up their sleeves to work on our new K-8 playground! From building towers and roofs to constructing the dragon, swing set, and guard rails, your time, energy, and hard work made a tremendous difference. Whether you joined us for five days or a few hours, you helped build something special that will be enjoyed by generations of Assets students. While there is additional work that will continue beyond today, we are immensely proud of what our volunteers have accomplished! ❤️

This playground build has been filled with moments we will never forget!

On Assets High School Gives Back Day, 64 students and teachers rolled up their sleeves and joined the K-8 playground build, working alongside volunteers to help bring the new playground to life. 🔨 They also participated in a special announcement by former Assets parent Dexter Mar and his nephew, Trevor Jann, who shared that they are making a remarkable $500,000 gift to Assets in honor of Dexter’s late son, Zachary Mar, an Assets graduate, and his late wife, Faye Fujisaki Mar, a Broadway and Off-Broadway dancer. The gift will name the Radiant Star Performing Arts Studio Honoring Zachary and Faye Mar, a future space within the Clarence T.C. Ching Neighborhood.

What a powerful reminder of what makes the Assets community so special: generations of students, families, and supporters coming together to build something meaningful for the future. 💙
