If you struggle with letting go of habits that aren’t serving you, watch this.
Instead of “don’t do it”, ask yourself “what AM I doing when I engage in this habit / activity?” This will show you why you feel resistant to letting it go. And with love and compassion, you can then figure out ways to meet those needs and desires of yours in a healthier and more loving way.

Want a practical way to ease painful emotions? Watch this.
Your emotions are a teacher. They’re a friend. They’re a protector. They love you! When you push your emotions away or numb them out, you don’t get the chance to experience the wisdom they have to offer. And you prolong any negative emotion you don’t want to have. Instead, choose to listen to your emotions kindly and with curiosity. You’ll be surprise with how much inner knowledge comes through (and how much lighter you’ll feel)

Spilling the tea on SHAME 🍵 Learning this from my teachers .grace.seol and

Shame is like oppressive systems: racism, sexism, ableism, etc. It SHAMES your human experience and makes YOU out to be the broken one. So you hide thinking there’s something wrong with YOU. Let’s disrupt this.
Let’s just discard the idea that there is ever anything wrong with YOU. That any part of you is wrong or bad. If that were true, what’s left is a team of emotions, sensations, and experiences that want to show you more of who you are. They want to teach you what your needs and wants are. They aspire to bring you more and more into your own truth, your own light. They are teachers, friends, mentors, lovers. They are in relationship with the whole human (you). And all of that beauty gets shut down and the human suffers when we experience SHAME around it.
If your problem was not a problem, if it was a teacher, what is it trying to share with you? This is how we start to disrupt shame.

When you think “I’m not good / attractive / intelligent / extroverted / capable / strong / likable enough”
You’re telling yourself that YOU’RE not good enough. There is something broken or missing in your essential self.
This is where feeling like a burden, isolation, and pushing away those who love you comes from.
But at the core of your being, below all of the pain and “not good enough’s” is a truth. A knowing. A living, breathing spirit that calls you into the truth of who you ARE.
You are beautiful and wonderfully made. You are whole. All of the parts are there. You are part of the global human existence.
Below all the pain there is a subtle but ever present knowing: there is nothing wrong or missing in you. You were birth into this world as and remain a fully lovable, worthy animal who deserves your own deep love and care.
Let this knowing hold you. Let it pick you up gently and lead you into your career, relationships, recreation, and rest.
You are life it’s self. Remember that.

What if this is the truth of who we are?

A couple years ago, when my partner and I would have a disagreement, one of 3 things would happen:
(1) I would blame him
(2) I would shame myself
(3) I would push him away
It was so unhealthy. Coming up against the reality that I was imperfect hurt like hell. I made my imperfections in the relationship mean I was completely broken (black and white thinking much?)
So of course my ego came in to protect me by either deflecting blame, putting me in my depression corner (painful but safe), or getting me the hell away from what I thought was the source of my pain. Or all three in some wacky order.
Now, I’m able to make space for disagreement, share honestly, apologize where needed, and hug it out - in about 20 minutes.
Here’s what changed: I allow myself to be human. I don’t make my f**k ups mean I’m a bad person. I send forgiveness and compassion to the scared, hurt part of me. I allow myself to be seen in my vulnerability, to be held with love and care. I let myself believe apologizing mean I’m a GOOD, WHOLE, HEALTHY person with integrity and love. I divorced with the notion that I can only be loved if I’m perfect.
Feedback and disagreements don’t have to be so painful when you have your own back.
In my 1:1 container, I help you become the person who has their own back with love and compassion so you can stay present during a disagreement with your partner instead of blaming, shaming, or hiding.
This is 100% available to you and I’d be honored to help you create this for yourself. Send me a DM to book a free consultation.

SAFETY FIRST. My most power, life changing, soul feeding transformation came from feeling SAFE to go after it! The change that happens from feeling SAFE to take action will be so much more nourishing than that from forcing your way through pain, fear, and shame. In my 1:1 coaching container, I hold space for that exploration and help you co-create a plan to create more safety, more aligned action, and ultimately, a path to the results you want to create YOUR specific way. If you’d like to create more safety for yourself so taking action and building confidence feels more accessible to you, I’d love to help. Send me a DM to book a free consultation.
