First Annual Kalihi Union Church Family Camp!🏕️

We’re so thankful for the time of fellowship, laughter, worship, games, and making memories together as a church family. It was a joy to see each family step up to serve—whether leading meals, helping behind the scenes, or simply loving and encouraging one another.

Most of all, we’re grateful that God was honored throughout the weekend. We pray the friendships that were strengthened and the moments shared continue to encourage our church family long after camp.

A huge Mahalos to the Centino family and everyone who helped plan, organize, cook, and serve to make this camp possible. We appreciate all the time, effort, and love that went into making it such a special weekend.

Already looking forward to Family Camp 2027! 🙌🏕️

Two weeks ago, 16 students came together for our Kingdom Creative Workshop to learn storytelling, filmmaking, and editing—all with the goal of using creativity to glorify God.

As our final project, we created this short film about waiting on the Lord. Every season of waiting looks different, but God is always at work, even when we can’t see it.

*”Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”* — 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

We’re so proud of everyone who stepped out, learned something new, and helped bring this story to life. We hope this film encourages you to keep trusting, keep praying, and keep waiting on the Lord.

“Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." - Luke 18:1

O Lord, thank You for prayer! My prayers enables me to relationally connect with a Heavenly Father who always
wants the best for me. You are worthy of all praise, glory, and thanksgiving. Help me to see the things in my life that are blessings from You and help me to give You credit. Help me to humbly submit to Your plans. Whatever I ask of You, may it align to Your will and be done in Your perfect timing. Forgive me Lord when I start to give up. Reinvigorate my devotion to You. Let me see that You are here and You are encouraging me to press on. By Your power and strength I will be able to do what’s best that brings glory to You. I can stand firm on Your promises and see that every day is an opportunity for me to honor the name of Jesus in my life. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen!

Today's sermon is from our "Parables of Jesus" series and is titled "Persistence Prays Off." Pastor Kendal Fong is preaching from Luke 18:1-8.

We meet at 7:15am, 9:00am, and 10:45am. We invite you to come worship with us!

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!" - Matthew 25:23

In the Parable of the Talents, Jesus compares the kingdom of heaven to a master who entrusts his wealth to his servants before leaving on a journey. Upon his return, he rewards those who faithfully stewarded what they were given and judges the servant who failed to act. Through this parable, Jesus teaches that His followers are called to faithfully use everything He has entrusted to them while eagerly awaiting His return.

Today's sermon is from our "Parables of Jesus" series and is titled "The Parable of the Bags of Gold (Talents)." Pastor John Barrow is preaching from Matthew 15:14-30.

We meet at 7:15am, 9:00am, and 10:45am. We invite you to come worship with us!

In Luke 15:11–32, Jesus tells the parable of the Prodigal Son in response to the Pharisees’ criticism that He welcomed sinners. While the younger son represents open rebellion and the older son represents self-righteousness, both are separated from the father in different ways. At the center of the story is the compassionate father who eagerly pursues, forgives, and restores his children. Through this parable, Jesus reveals the heart of God who rejoices when the lost are found and invites all people to experience His grace.

Today's sermon is from our "Parables of Jesus" series and is titled "The Father Who Seeks Lost Sons." Pastor John Barrow is preaching.

We meet at 7:15am, 9:00am, and 10:45am. We invite you to come worship with us!

Happy Father’s Day from Kalihi Union Church! 💙🎣

Today we celebrate and honor all fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, spiritual fathers, mentors, and father figures who faithfully love, lead, serve, and point others toward Christ.

Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the wisdom you share, the prayers you pray, and the example you set for the next generation. Your impact reaches far beyond what you may ever see.

As we celebrate today, we are reminded of the greatest example of fatherly love found in our Heavenly Father, who loves us unconditionally and faithfully guides us each day.

*”As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.”* — Psalm 103:13

Happy Father’s Day! We pray God’s blessings, strength, and joy over each of you today.
