The HPU theater is seeking university students to help design, produce, and perform this full-length dramatic comedy that explores language, love, loss and the stories we struggle to preserve.

Those interested in the design, production and/or technical aspects of the show, do not need to "perform" at auditions however, we would like to meet you or a short interview to discuss your skills, aesthetic and area of interest.

For those interested in performing, all roles are open, with casting based on performance, interpretation, chemistry, and commitment rather than a predetermined type. Actors of all backgrounds, identities, and levels of experience are encouraged to audition. No preparation is necessary, sides will be provided and scripts are available upon request.

Thurs Sept 17th from 4:00pm-6pm
Fri Sept 18th from 12:00pm-2pm
*You do not have to stay the entire time and only need to attend one day.

Are you interested in film, storytelling, and Hawaiʻi’s history? 🎬

Join us in supporting HPU Multimedia Professor Jennifer Goya-Smith, whose non-narrative short film, Ordnance Ordinance (2012), will be featured in Kahoʻolawe Aloha ʻĀina, a special film program presented as part of I OLA KANALOA: 50 Years of Aloha ʻĀina.

The film program is part of a multi-venue exhibition running from August 15 through October 20, bringing together art, film, and public programming centered on Kahoʻolawe. The exhibition reflects on the island’s history, culture, and ongoing connection to community.

Come support our HPU faculty, explore the exhibition, and connect with Hawaiʻi’s creative community!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Master of Strategic Communication meeting this morning! 🦈🦈

A special thank you to Dr. Shawn Domgaard and Dr. Lisa Chuang for hosting such a wonderful meeting. It was a great opportunity to connect, learn more about the program, and prepare for what’s ahead. We’re so excited for this new journey!

Congratulations to Wisal Silva for successfully defending his Master's Thesis Capstone Project: Wi: An Integrated Multimedia Company. Fantastic job on your presentation 👏. Congratulations to Trinity Wilson for passing her thesis defense! Trinity's thesis project, "Building Meaning Through Rebranding: A Strategic Communication Analysis of Call Me Unni," compared the branding strategy of thrift stores Call Me Unni and Goodwill. Congratulations Trinity!

Academic excellence was on full display at HPU Scholarship Day & Author Celebration! 📚✨

Faculty and students shared research on topics ranging from Disciplinary Joy to marine biology . We wrapped up the day at the HPU Library to honor our published authors, featuring guest speaker Dr. Peter Britos & Dr. Benjamin Fairfield.

Mahalo to all the presenters and organizers for fostering such a vibrant culture of scholarship! 🎓🤙
