Suffice it to say that this program was both nothing and everything we could've ever imagined. You've heard a lot from us as a team. Let's hear what a few of our participants have to say about their experience in this program.
If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the Madau Project continue on for another year and hopefully more years to come, you can reach us via dm on Facebook and Instagram or via email: [email protected]

Our next Heritage Month object feature is this polystyrene cup decorated with โUnited We Standโ and the names of the islands of Micronesia. It traveled in a pouch outside a submersible in which, on March 11, 2021, Nicole Yamase of the Federated States of Micronesia became the first Pacific Islander to descend to the Challenger Deep . . . the deepest section of the ocean at 10,925 meters below the surface! During Yamaseโs 10-hour voyage, this cup shrunk to the size of a large thimble, demonstrating the incredible effects of ocean pressure.
