HPU OTD Honolulu students traveled to St. Lucia (the "Hawai'i of the Caribbean") for a service-learning experience in April 2026.
Dr. Hart and Dr. Coker-Bolt guided students and worked with Zanique Edwards, the only OT in St. Lucia. Together, they leaned on each other, supported each other, and worked closely with children, adults, and families.

Today, we honor King Kamehameha I, whose leadership united the Hawaiian Islands and whose legacy continues to shape Hawaiʻi's culture, values, and spirit.
At HPU OTD Honolulu, we are grateful to learn and serve in a place deeply rooted in the principles of aloha, kuleana, and mālama.
