We had an incredible time on Hawaiʻi Island supporting Neighborhood Place of Puna's Stuff Da Bus event at Shipman Park in Keaʻau! 🎒✨

Nearly 700 families registered to receive backpacks and school supplies, helping ensure keiki are ready for a successful school year. EOEL and First 5 Hawaiʻi were proud to sponsor this amazing community event and connect with so many local families at our resource table.

Mahalo to Neighborhood Place of Puna, the volunteers, partners, and everyone who made this event such a success. We're grateful for the opportunity to support Hawaiʻi's families and help connect them with valuable early learning resources.

If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of Hawaiʻi's youngest learners, Project MĀLAMA may be the opportunity you've been looking for. This federally funded program at Chaminade University of Honolulu is preparing future early intervention professionals to support young children with disabilities and their families through specialized training and mentorship.

Selected scholars receive fully funded tuition, textbooks, and living expenses while earning a teaching licensure in Early Intervention. The hybrid program begins with its first cohort in Fall 2026, and anyone interested in serving young children and families is encouraged to learn more.

The next virtual information sessions will be held on June 30th and July 17th. Scan the QR code on the flyer or contact Dr. Elizabeth Park at [email protected] for additional information.
