This is a very rough midi draft of a song I wrote in high school (mid 90s) that started as a 4 mallet marimba solo. At the time I was mostly listening to Pat metheney, Basia, Sade, Paul Simon, Peter Gabriel and sting lol. And my 4 mallet chops were pretty insane.

I want the middle to be a saxophone solo. It needs some tympani. i can never finish a song...

In my opinion Debussy is the most significant musician in the western history. Why? Because he was the turning point between classical and jazz. He literally was the most unique musician ever. He may not be the most popular, but he was the most unique pivot point in the history of music. In the 1800s people started doing more drugs world wide, and classical music got more experimental and theatrical. Dubussy was lush, soulful, intellectual and uplifting.

My friend Shanti Lux Grillo taught me to have a shoebox alter, since I frequently find myself on the move or not having lots of material possessions. My other Kumu Leslie McQuade taught me to go with birthday candles when resources and time are a factor. If you just meditate for 2 minutes it helps immensely.

The painting is the Qabalistic Cross meditation and also John Dee’s Heiroglyphic Monad.

Candle holder is an upcycled cat food can and rice to stabilize the candle. The rice charges with energy from the prayers and meditation so when it’s time to throw it out, it will bless the space too.

Not joking, Wikipedia says that Christopher Columbus discovered that the Earth is pear-shaped. WTF reality is this???
