We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming fundraisers to support our 20th International Conference, happening November 19-22, 2025, in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii.

NAKEM Hawaii, a proud subsidiary of NAKEM Conferences, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to deepening the understanding and appreciation of indigenous cultures. The theme for the conference is “Coming Full Circle: Back to Our Languages, Cultures, Histories, and Memories”.

The conference will explore the connections between identity and heritage. Through discussions and workshops, participants will focus on reclaiming and revitalizing indigenous languages, cultural practices, and historical narratives. The goal is to foster reflection and dialogue, encouraging attendees to reconnect with their roots and inspire future generations to embrace their cultural identities.

The recent wildfires have brought about not only physical devastation but also financial hardships, especially for those who may have lost important documents or have limited resources. We want you to know that you are not alone, and there is help available to support you during this trying period. Please share this information with those in our community who may need it.

📋 Resources Available to You:

Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu (): The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu is assisting with various services, including consular assistance, passport, and identification replacements.

State of Hawai'i Department of Labor and Industrial Relations: If you or your loved ones have been impacted by the wildfires and are facing employment challenges, the State of Hawai'i Department of Labor and Industrial Relations may be able to provide information about unemployment benefits and other employment-related assistance.

Roots Reborn Lahaina (): Roots Reborn Lahaina is a community organization that offers support to those in need. They can aid with resources to medical care, consular assistance, short term housing, and other services for immigrants.

Remember, you are not alone, and there are organizations and people here to help you navigate these challenging times. We stand together, strong and resilient, as we rebuild and heal our beloved Maui.
