Aloha Pu'uhale 'Ohana!

According to our counselor, our school-wide attendance on Thursday, August 27th, was at 97%!!!! This is AMAZING Panthers, let's keep it up! 😃

We just wanted to let you know about a couple events coming up in September, so be sure to mark your calendars!

Picture Day is coming up on September 8th. Be sure to show up with your most fabulous drip, Panthers!

Also, for the whole 'ohana, we will be having a Math Game Night on Thursday, September 17th at 4pm. Forms should have been passed out through classrooms so please be sure to turn in the RSVP form to your teacher. Looking forward to seeing you there!

All DOE Hawai'i Public Schools will be closed TOMORROW, Monday, August 17th. More info below. Please stay safe and see you on Tuesday, August 18th.

Following assessments of school campuses and surrounding community conditions, the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education (HIDOE) will keep public schools and offices closed statewide on Monday, Aug. 17.

The additional closure will allow time to complete campus safety assessments, restore utilities where necessary and address storm-related impacts.

The Department will continue working with county and state partners and will provide updates regarding Tuesday's operations as additional information becomes available.

Previously announced extended closures on Hawai‘i Island for Nā‘ālehu Elementary and Ka‘ū High & Pāhala Elementary School remain in effect.

Aloha Pu'uhale 'Ohana,

We are so glad to have started off our school year with high attendance (95% on Friday!) and we would love to continue seeing everyone come to school every day!

That being said, our first School Community Council (SCC) meeting will be on August 18th, at 2:45pm after school. We would like to encourage parents and community members to attend to be informed about things happening at the school.

What a way to gear up for the school year! Parents and students got to meet their teachers today for our annual Meet and Greet! Students also received backpacks after visiting their teachers. We can tell that students are ready!

Please see the information concerning our final end of year activities. Please note that on Wednesday, May 27th, school will end at 2:15pm and on Thursday, May 28th, our last day of school will end at 1:30pm. We are going to have a lot of fun next week rounding out our school year!
