🎓 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT | Tripp Hedden ’24

Tripp Hedden ‘24 is making the most of his college experience at Auburn University, where he is double majoring in Finance and Business Analytics and is a member of the Honors College.

At Prep, our goal is to prepare students not simply to get into college, but to step onto campus ready to take advantage of everything the college experience has to offer from challenging academics to leadership, relationships and opportunities beyond the classroom.

Tripp is doing just that at Auburn. With more than 35,000 students and 600 clubs and organizations, Auburn offers the resources and opportunities of a major university, while its Honors College gives high-achieving students access to smaller classes, close faculty connections and experiential learning opportunities.

Director of College Counseling, Mrs. Lee, recently caught up with Tripp during her time visiting Auburn University. Tripp stated:

“I love being an Auburn student because of the All-American traditions and the opportunities the Auburn Family offers me. Within the Honors College, I’ve been able to take smaller classes with teachers who care about their students’ futures. Being involved with campus organizations has also given me countless friendships that I will take with me after graduation. It is truly the Loveliest Village on the Plains.”

We love seeing our Dolphins leave Prep ready to find their place, pursue new opportunities and thrive on campuses across the country.

From the halls of Prep to the skies above Florida, Finnian Rooney ‘26 is taking on an exciting next chapter at Florida Tech, where he is studying Aeronautical Science while working toward earning a commercial pilot license.

It’s an impressive path that combines rigorous academics with hands-on flight training, preparing Finnian for a future career in aviation and quite literally taking learning to new heights.

We’re incredibly proud to have him representing Prep at Florida Tech and can’t wait to see where this journey takes him.

The sky is just the beginning, Finnian! ✈️🐬

Congratulations Jillian Thurston!

Congratulations to Jillian Thurston, C’26, and Emma Steadman, C’26, who have been selected for Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards for 2026–27. Steadman (right) will serve as an English teaching assistant in Bulgaria, and Thurston was awarded a placement in South Korea.
