What is National Merit and why should it matter for your high school junior?

The National Merit Scholarship Program requires a PSAT score that meets certain state selected scores. In order to qualify, you must take the PSAT your junior year of high school! You will also be required to submit other test scores, extracurriculars, and recommendations.

National Merit can open new opportunities for your student such as other scholarships and university honors.

Back to school tips for parents that are actually helpful!

Elementary School: Structure is important for younger students. This teaches them organization and helps build their confidence as they'll know what to expect.

Middle School: Change is hard, and there's a lot of it in middle school. Stay connected with your middle schooler by asking questions they might actually want to answer! Ditch the generic, "How was school?" and ask the questions on page 3 instead.

High School: They might be growing up, but they still need your support while trying to figure out the rest of their lives!
