Ms. Payne-Headen's 2nd grade class recently completed a Project Lead The Way Lesson learning all about solids in science class. Students used monster trucks for the activity! Students used their writing skills to answer questions about the monster truck and used their art skills to illustrate their "solid" monster truck. They also had fun discussing the texture of the solid. We love they incorporated visual arts into their science lesson!

Congratulations to Taim Taylor-Rivera, son of our wonderful Behavior Management Specialist, Faquita Aiken-Rivera, whose photography was chosen to be an installation at the newly renovated Hilton Head High School. In music class, 3rd graders are showing teamwork while getting ready for their ostinato playing (repeated patterns) to help tell a story, "Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears." Knowing the order of the xylophones will help when putting different combinations together. We love to see the teamwork and collaboration!

Mrs. Mim's 3rd grade class has been enjoying STEAM activities during indoor recess time and Ms. Curland's 1st grade class has been learning math routines and procedures using ten frames and the iready shake and spill game. We love to see all the hands on learning!
