Nice historical event this weekend at Fort King George, Darien GA off I-95. I’ll be there (Saturday) in Highland style with the lads of Clan Nan Con.

Florida Living History will once again open The Crown and Anchor Tavern at Fort King George Historic Site in Darien, Georgia on November 10, 11, and 12.

Clouds of war are gathering over the 13 Colonies, and the Royal Navy needs men to man her fleet. The Crown and Anchor, a seaside inn, is taken over to serve as headquarters for the Navy's recruitment efforts. Visitors will learn all about shipboard life, from food to fighting to onboard medical services.

To satisfy their guests, the staff of the Crown and Anchor will serve an appropriately nautical menu--Boiled Beef and Plum Duff on Friday night, and a vast tureen of lobscouse for Saturday. No doubt the revelers will sing many a chorus of "Heart of Oak" and "O, The Roast Beef of Old England."

1) Status of film project: Forbes got called away to do a film in MN. There is some sound work that needs to be completed due to background noise while filming. Still waiting for dates from Producer/ Director.
2) Will be doing my first nonAmerican impression…a Scottish Highlander from 1730-1746. Great event coming up next mo at St Augustine, Colonial Night Watch. I will be posting pics soon…great kilt, Jacobite jacket, bonnet, dirk, Baskethilt sword on baldric. Research has been fascinating and have found a group out of Darien Georgia. More to follow.

Filming complete. Two films, Battle of Camden and Battle of Hobkirks Hill. I’m in the last scene of the first and throughout on the second. First film due out this summer, second in fall. Probably will stream. Will post when finalized. On separate note working up a Highlander impression, research underway and elements arriving daily. Should have something by Fall.

Filming began on Christopher Forbes 2 Revolutionary War films, the Battle of Camden and the Battle of Hobkirks Hill. I am the historical consultant and will be portraying General Nathaniel Greene. Character filming resumes after the first of the year, anticipated release 2023 thru ITN. WILL BE STREAMING Amazon Prime, on DVD thru Walmart, available on Red Box.

Next weekend BIG Rev War reenactment and filming of battle sequences and completion of casting on Forbes upcoming moving abt Battle of Camden. I’ll part with all the whiskers for the first time since 1979….who knows what I’ll find under there. Get the generals epaulettes sewn on and step into role of General Nathaniel Greene. Nervious? Quiet but not inactive. Exciting new project on the horizon. I have been asked to portray Gen Nathaniel Greene in his South Carolina campaign culminating at the second battle of Camden. Filming in Nov, research underway. I am 30 years too old for the part. The filmmaker has 30+ under his belt, a distributer, has films on both Amazon Prime and on dvd in Walmart. Yes, I AM reading, like a fiend!
