Virginia Peninsula Food Bank has two upcoming mobile food distribution events in Hampton. The first one is at 9:30 a.m. July 9 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2150 Cunningham Drive. The next mobile food distribution event is at 6 p.m. on July 15 at the Hispanic Resource Center, 631 Aberdeen Road. Food is given out while supplies last on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you or someone you know is experiencing food insecurity, please let them know they can attend these distributions. The Foodbank needs more donations during summer months for mobile food distributions. To donate food or to make a cash donation, visit: HRFoodbank.org or call (757) 596-7188.

Patrick Elementary School relocating to Langley Elementary School - 16 Rockwell Road

Barron Elementary School relocating to Aberdeen Elementary School - 1424 Aberdeen Road

Kraft Elementary School relocating to Forrest Elementary School - 1406 Todds Lane

Jones Magnet Middle School relocating to Kecoughtan High School - 522 Woodland Road

Additionally, the following schools are relocating their main offices to another location in their buildings:

Lindsay Middle School's Main Office will relocate to the Media Center

Kilgore Gifted Center's Main Office will relocate to Rooms 402 & 403

Bethel High School's Main Office will relocate to the Media Center

Syms Middle School's Main Office will relocate Rooms 501, 502, 503, 504

Langley Familes,

To run a PTA we must have a minimum of a President, Secretary and Treasurer on the board. We are still in need of a Treasurer for the 22-23 school year. If we do not find someone unfortunately there will be no PTA next school year. Hampton Council provides amazing training for Treasurers so you will not be alone in doing the books.

Please let us know if you are interested. We hope to keep the PTA up and running for the amazing kiddos, staff and families next year!

Free community pool days are coming to neighborhood pools this Memorial Day weekend. The Wythe Pool, Riverdale Pool, Willow Oaks Pool, Elizabeth Lakes Pool, and Northampton Pool have free swim days May 28-30. Hampton residents can swim for free at any of five participating pools on community pool days. The five pools have had more than $100,000 in renovations done on them to prepare them for summer swimmers.
