Hampton Federation of Teachers hosted an informative membership meeting this morning in our conference room that was filled to capacity. Following a hardy breakfast from Tommy’s Restaurant, we explained the membership benefits that are offered. All benefits remain in affect, even after retirement.

Our guest speaker was Mrs. Robin Hunt-Crenshaw, principal at Phenix PreK - 8. She explained in depth why A*O observations are conducted and how they can be beneficial. She graciously answered all questions. It was well received by our members. The morning ended on a great note. Tulsa Boyd and Michelle Branch won the gift baskets of school supplies. Members, it is a pleasure to introduce Mariah Petite. Mariah has joined our team as a field organizer. She will work with me in visiting schools and building our union. Mariah was raised in Suffolk, VA. She is a Army veteran paratrooper. She graduated Cum laude from the illustrious Savannah State University with a B.S. in Behavior Analysis . Mariah has a well-rounded work experience background in IT, working with children with ASD, as a field organizer, and as lead organizer for Virginia New Majority. Mariah is excited to embark on this new endeavor with Hampton Federation of Teachers. Let’s welcome Mariah Petite.
