Gloria Dei Lutheran School & Child Care will be closed Monday, August 17, for a teacher work day.

While our students enjoy one more day before school begins, our staff will be back on campus preparing classrooms, finalizing plans, and making the transition from our outstanding Summer Adventures program to the start of our 54th school year.

We are excited to welcome everyone back and look forward to a wonderful year together!

Important Dates:
Monday, August 17: School & Child Care Closed – Teacher Work Day
Tuesday, August 18: Child Care Resumes at 6:00 a.m.
Monday, August 24: First Day of School

Though we are sad Summer Adventures 2026 is coming to an end, some great memories were made! Until next year…

The 2026 Kiwanis Regional Fishing Clinic was fun and educational. Our children learned about various fish in the Chesapeake Bay and how to handle them. They also received a hat, t-shirt, rod and reel, breakfast, and lunch. Thank you to Pastor Dave and Mr. John Campbell for joining us, and thank you to the volunteers who dedicated their time and expertise to make it a wonderful experience!
