What a perfect day to engage our Smith families by bringing valuable resources and community connections directly to them during dismissal!
Today, we had the wonderful opportunity to partner with several City of Hampton departments to provide our families with emergency preparedness supplies, helpful information, and connections to community services!
A HUGE thank you to our amazing community partners:
Unity Commission, Hampton Fire Department, Hampton Police, Hampton Youth and Young Adult Opportunities, Emergency Management and Hampton Human Services.
Together, they distributed Emergency Survival Kits filled with essential items such as flashlights, rescue blankets, emergency whistles, first aid kits, hygiene supplies, portable fans, and more!
But it wasn't just about the supplies! Families also received valuable information about city and community services, upcoming events, and programs designed to support them beyond the school walls.
This is what family engagement and community partnerships are all about! Meeting families where they are, connecting them to resources, building relationships, and making sure they know they have an entire community standing behind them.
We are incredibly grateful for our Hampton, VA - Gov partners who continue to show up, share resources, and invest in our Smith village!
