We are excited to invite our new Eagles to 6th Grade Orientation. This event, which will take place August 18 from 9am-noon, will allow students the opportunity to meet their teachers, become better familiar with our school, and get to know their classmates. Please see the included flyer for details.

Please note that this is an event for students only. We will also be hosting an Open House for all families on August 20. More details will be shared early this week.

All of us at Eaton wish the best to Assistant Principal Meredith Hare, who will be leaving at the end of the month to join the administrative team at Bruton High School. Mrs. Hare made a tremendous impact at Eaton over the last three years, and we appreciate her dedication to our school.

We are excited to welcome Brittany Foster as our new Assistant Principal!

Ms. Foster has served as an assistant principal at Lindsay Middle School for the past two years. She began her career in education as a PreK teacher in Washington, D.C., before joining the Downtown Hampton Child Development Center as a PreK teacher. In 2014, she joined Hampton City Schools as a language arts teacher, serving students at Syms Middle School for one year and Eaton Fundamental Middle School for six years. Prior to moving into administration, she spent three years as a literacy support specialist at Syms Middle School.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a bachelor’s degree in African-American Studies, both from the University of Virginia. She was a part of the Career Switcher Program at Old Dominion University where she earned her endorsement in secondary English language arts. She continued her education at Old Dominion University and earned her master’s in educational leadership as a part of the Hampton City Schools and Old Dominion Monarch LEAD cohort.

Eaton was recognized for its Band and Chorus programs from the VA Music Educators Association as a Blue Ribbon School. Additionally, the Eaton Band was also recognized as a Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association Program of Honor.
