The mission of the Virginia Peninsula Community College Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Education Program is to provide innovative educational experiences for pre-hospital and facility based care clinicians, educators, and leaders to develop excellence in their professional practice, while responding to community healthcare needs. The Virginia Peninsula Community College Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Education Program will be the model of EMS education by:

• Promoting student centered learning
• Utilizing innovative techniques, technologies and teamwork

The college setting provides the opportunity for students and faculty to participate in cultural, intellectual, and social activities, which foster the continued self-growth of the individual.
