New Publication! We are proud to share Vocalizing Silenced Voices, co-authored by Educultural Foundation founder Virginia Lea, alongside Sapna Thapa and Emily Hines. This important work confronts white supremacy, social caste, cultural hegemony, and the narratives that contribute to trauma and social injustice.

At the Educultural Foundation, we believe that understanding these forces is essential to building critical consciousness — the first step toward meaningful change.

We encourage educators, community leaders, activists, and lifelong learners to engage with this timely resource.

THE EDUCULTURAL FOUNDATION IS DEVELOPING SLOWLY. We support the development of critical thinking and critical consciousness about social and cultural issues through music, the fine arts, literature, and dance. We are giving Educultural Foundation life again after a long hiatus! Now fused with The Hegemony Project, an organization that supported the development of critical consciousness about social and cultural issues through the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, the Educultural Foundation will be offering programs that meet community needs for empowerment and voice.

Many great organizations are out there doing powerful work, and we seek to work with them to meet our goals. It is an exciting prospect. History teaches us that social change that impacts everyone equitably only happens when large numbers of like-minded individuals and groups work together, intentionally, for social justice.

So, please join us in developing inspiring ideas, artistic tools, programs and events that help life the veil on how this inequitable society and world work. Let us join to share a collective critical consciousness that will move us even further towards a society and world that is just and therefore peaceful; kind and therefore equitable; loving and therefore inclusive; self-aware and therefore able to face the future informed by the truth of our often horrible history.

Let us begin with a dialogue to this end. Please go to our website (educulturtalfoundation.com) for more information and to share your ideas for programs and events on our blog so that we can build programs that fulfill these ideas together.

In unity, from those of us in the Educultural Foundation
