Virginia teachers: Ready to take your students on a giant leap into lunar exploration?

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) invites Virginia middle and high school educators and STEM organizations to participate in the Plant the Moon Challenge!

Students will become lunar researchers, conducting plant-growth experiments using lunar soil simulant and exploring how plants could support future missions to the Moon🚀

📅 Applications are open through November 6, 2026!

Participating educators receive lunar regolith simulant kits, mentoring, a $100 teacher stipend, professional development, and special STEM activities connected to NASA’s Artemis mission.
