🌱🌼 Our Kindergarteners did an amazing job, the first week of June, sharing their "Growing Through Kinder Garden" portfolios and self-portrait displays! 🎨📚

Through this special experience, students reflected on their growth throughout the year, learning to recognize their thoughts, feelings, and actions while developing skills to manage their emotions and behaviors in different situations. 💛😊

We wrapped up the year by celebrating all they have accomplished! 🎉 Students shared how they have grown as good friends 🤝, their dreams for the future 🌟, and what they have learned about being responsible and caring citizens both at school 🏫 and at home 🏡.

We are so proud of all their hard work, growth, and achievements this year! 🌻💚 Way to grow, Kindergarteners! 🎓✨

💰✨ Kindness + Financial Literacy = A Winning Combination! ✨💰

Thanks to a generous grant from Bayport Credit Union, Mrs. Cury’s second grade students had the opportunity to gain real-world experience with saving, banking, earning interest, and making smart financial decisions! 🏦📈

Throughout our Kindness Counts Project, students earned 🪙 Kindness Coins both at home and at school by demonstrating acts of kindness. Each Friday, they made important financial choices:

💵 Deposit money into their savings account
👛 Keep money in their wallet
🛍️ Spend money at the Kindness Store
🔄 Or choose a combination of saving and spending

Students quickly discovered the power of saving as their balances grew through earned interest! They also practiced thoughtful spending by deciding whether to purchase one larger item or several smaller items. 🤔💡

To celebrate the conclusion of the project, students enjoyed spending their remaining balances at the Kindness Store and purchasing special treats at the ☕🍪 Kindness Café during our Kindness Counts Celebration!

A special thank you to our buddy class, Ms. Baughans’s sixth grade students, who joined us in painting beautiful kindness rocks 🎨🪨 that now brighten our butterfly garden 🦋🌸 as a lasting reminder that kindness grows wherever it is planted.

We are so proud of our students for learning valuable lessons about kindness, responsibility, and financial literacy! ❤️👏

🦋✨ From Caterpillars to Butterflies! ✨🦋

Thanks to a generous grant from the Hampton Education Foundation, our kindergarteners, second graders, Mrs. Norton’s students, and Mrs. Bryant-Beal’s students experienced the wonder of the butterfly life cycle firsthand! 🌱🐛➡️🦋

Students carefully observed each stage of development—from tiny caterpillars to chrysalides and finally beautiful butterflies. Once the butterflies reached adulthood, they were released into our butterfly (pollinator) gardens, where they can continue supporting our local ecosystem. 🌸🌼💜

Throughout the unit, students explored important science concepts, learning how plants and animals depend on one another and discovering the basic needs all living things require to survive and thrive. 🌎🌿🐝

To celebrate the conclusion of the unit, our middle school students joined their kindergarten and second-grade buddy classes for a special butterfly-themed activity! 🦋🎨 Together, they decorated butterfly crafts while our younger learners proudly shared their knowledge and discoveries with their older buddies.

These cross-grade partnerships create meaningful learning experiences, build confidence, and strengthen our school community. ❤️ We are so proud of all of our students for their curiosity, collaboration, and love of learning!

A special shoutout to Ms. McFarland, one of our amazing Special Educators. Ms. McFarland is in her first year as a Panther and has quickly become a vital part of our Panther family. She is an expert at building strong relationships with students. Ms. McFarland supports our 4th and 5th grade students, helping them thrive both academically and socially.
