Jones families! This is your principal, Dr. Heidi Brezinski, with a few important dates and reminders as we prepare to kick off another exciting school year. We can't wait to welcome everyone back! Please take a moment to mark your calendars.

Rising 6th Grade Orientation
We are excited to welcome our newest Jaguars on Tuesday, August 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. This orientation is for students only, with drop-off beginning at 8:30 a.m.
During the morning, students will receive their schedules, meet their teachers, get to know their classmates, participate in fun activities, practice opening their lockers, and become familiar with the building. We even have a few special surprises planned! This is a wonderful opportunity for our incoming 6th graders to feel comfortable and confident before the first day of school. Students do not need to bring anything but themselves that day.

Open House for Rising 6th Graders and New-to-Jones Families
If your student is entering 6th grade or is new to Jones this year, please join us for Open House on Thursday, August 20, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. We'll begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. in the Forum with a welcome and orientation designed especially for new students and their families.

Schedule Pick-Up for Returning/Rising 7th and 8th Graders
Returning 7th and 8th grade students are invited to stop by on Wednesday, August 19, between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. to pick up a printed copy of their class schedule for the 2026–2027 school year.
Please note that teachers will be busy preparing for the start of school and will not be available to meet with students or families during this time. Families may also view schedules through the Parent Portal.

Back-to-School Night: ALL Students
Be sure to save the date for our Back-to-School Night on September 15 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. We look forward to welcoming all Jones families for an evening of learning, connection, and partnership.

We are looking forward to an incredible school year and can't wait to welcome our students back on Monday, August 24! Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we'll see you soon.
