NHREC Good Life Solution students recently attended a welcome event hosted by Newport News Shipbuildingβs WAVES Program!
Throughout the school year, the shipbuilding scouts dedicated countless hours to mentoring, tutoring, and building meaningful relationships with our students. Their commitment, guidance, and encouragement helped lay the foundation for success as students prepared to transition into the workforce.
Because of partnerships like this, more than 50 graduating seniors will begin the next chapter of their careers within their chosen trades at HII Newport News Shipbuilding. We are especially proud that 22 of those students are graduates of the NHREC Career & Technical Education programs.
Thank you to the WAVES team for investing in the future workforce and helping our students launch successful careers. π’βοΈ
