Do not miss the exciting panels led by our department faculty from 1PM-5PM covering “Teaching English Language Courses in the U.S. and Abroad,” “Highlighting the Humanities in Corporate Environments,” “Professional Storytellers on Page and Screen,” and “Nonprofit and Government Agency Work in the United States and Abroad.”

SLAE Career Readiness Day is this Wednesday, February 26! Several of our English Faculty will be presenting about their experiences and careers before coming to HU. Come and learn what opportunities may await you after graduation!

We have two upcoming events that will be hosted jointly by EFL department faculty and the Harvey Library:

🖤February 18: a panel discussion on African Americans and Labor (among the panelists is our own Dr. Karima Jeffrey-Legette)

🖤February 27: a viewing of the documentary Slavery by Another Name followed by a short panel discussion (panelists: Dr. Nicholas Huber and Prof. James Balls)

Both events begin at 5pm and will be held in the Harvey Library Meeting Room.

Come out to see two short films that will be screened tomorrow, Saturday, at 4pm in the Student Center Theater! The filmmakers and producers in attendance. Some of the material covered in the standout works that will be shown on Saturday are directly connected to Hampton University. We hope to see you there!
