We have two upcoming events that will be hosted jointly by EFL department faculty and the Harvey Library:

🖤February 18: a panel discussion on African Americans and Labor (among the panelists is our own Dr. Karima Jeffrey-Legette)

🖤February 27: a viewing of the documentary Slavery by Another Name followed by a short panel discussion (panelists: Dr. Nicholas Huber and Prof. James Balls)

Both events begin at 5pm and will be held in the Harvey Library Meeting Room.

We are extremely proud of our English major Ms. Maya Powell and the delivery of her poem “Giant Steps” for The 132nd Annual Founder’s Day in Ogden Hall. Assistant professor Dr. Melody Williams sat down with Maya to get insight into the inspiration for her poem and her feelings on that special day!
