Hi my name is Haley Lewis and I can’t wait to join the Hosanna family this year! Since being a nanny for the last 8 years, I really enjoy being a part of kids development and guiding them through new milestones. In my free time, I enjoy running with Miss K, spending time outside, concerts, country music, and reading. 😊

Hello, my name is Laurel Kauahi and I am excited to be joining the team this year. I graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in History/ Social Studies Teaching and I can’t wait to combine my love for teaching with my passion for the Lord. My favorite things are coffee shops, books, and getting out of the house with my husband. I am eager to get started and to meet all of you, thank you for welcoming me into the Hosanna community!

Today the junior high is selling cold treats during first recess. $1.00 per item! It’s gonna be a warm one today! ☀️

The preschool and kindergarten classes had a really fun field trip to the Point Defiance Zoo today!

Check out this one of a kind wooden, waving flag, handwritten on by the third and fourth graders! This would look really good by someone’s front door! 

How cute is this picnic table that we have up for bid in our live auction?! Every kindergarten student has an animal featured on the table! Such a sweet memory to have in your backyard, playroom, or anywhere else that you can think of!

Don’t forget if you haven’t bought your raffle tickets for a chance to win 4,000 dollars towards a cruise, Disney, or a Universal package, tickets will still be on sale at the auction tomorrow night! Last year, the Nelson family won and just took an amazing vacation to Aulani Disney Resort on Oahu! They had an amazing trip, and are sure hoping to win again this year! Check out pics from their time there!

Who is coming to our Wild West auction this weekend? Look what will be in the live! A three hour basic survival workshop for up to 10 people! Walk through the important steps you need to take in personal and family security… taught by veteran and security expert Braddon Marquart.

Just a reminder that tomorrow starts our week of collecting food for the Fish Food Bank right here in our community. Your child may bring any unopened, non expired, non-perishable foods to their classroom Monday through Friday morning. The student council is running this event, and the class that brings the most items for the week will win an ice cream party. 

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is just one week away! We cannot wait to hang out with you all and come together for our amazing little school! Who else is hyped? 🤠 Ye-Haw!

Who is getting excited for our Wild West auction coming next weekend, May 4th? We just had a very generous parent donate this Mantis AR-15 laser academy training kit! If you know what this is, you know that this is an incredible item! ($400.00 Value) Come to the auction on May 4th, and bid on this during the live auction! 

Yesterday, we celebrated Good Friday, and learned why it was truly GOOD! The students moved from station to station hearing stories of what Jesus went through before being crucified. They participated in activities and prayer that put them in the shoes of Jesus.

Happy opening day of baseball! 🧢❤️⚾️

This Thursday, March 28th, is opening day of baseball! On this half day, your child may wear a jersey, t-shirt, baseball uniform, hat, or anything in support of their favorite team! If they play baseball or softball, they could even wear their own jersey! If your child chooses not to participate, they should come dressed in their normal uniform.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is green out day in honor of St. Patrick’s Day! 💚☘️Come decked out in your green outfits! If your child chooses not to wear green, they must come in uniform.
The student council will be selling baggies of Lucky Charms at first recess for $1 per bag!

Thank you to Scott Gordon for this morning’s chapel. Who knew that God could be related to every aspect of backpacking! The peace of God only comes through knowing Christ, and knowing that you have eternal security with the creator, comforter, protector, refuge, and light of the world! 🏕️

Yesterday, the preschool through fourth graders got a special special treat. Mr. Frog Prince came to read the students a story about his leap day birthday, in honor of it being a leap year. It is safe to say the kids thoroughly enjoyed their time with Mr. frog! 

Our Yearly Auction is Coming!!!...

Giddy up for our Wild West Auction on May 4th here at Hosanna Christian School. We'll have country hits performed by Rosedale, ace-high items for bidding, and chili with the fixins for dinner. Keep posted for more details in the coming months. We hope to see you there!

Thank you to every family who came out and purchased books at our annual book fair this year! With these funds, the classrooms were able to obtain some brand new books for their libraries! So many great choices have entered the building! 📚
