Throwback Thursday starts here.
Just last week, the Class of 2026 walked across the stage, turned their tassels, and celebrated the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
From heartfelt speeches by Salutatorian Ryann Mahoney and Valedictorian Grace Sabetimani to a powerful Commencement address by Dr. Beck A. Taylor, President of Samford University, the evening was filled with joy, tradition, and moments the WA family will never forget. The presentation of the Distinguished Alumnus Award to Laura Blake ’86 Murphy made the night even more special.
And as the evening closed with diplomas, LPA Bibles, and standing ovations, one thing was clear: these graduates are ready to shine God’s light wherever He leads them next.
We already miss you, Class of 2026.
📸 Thank you to Little's Photography for capturing such a special night.

Forty-eight years. One calling. One community. One extraordinary legacy.
Last night and again today at our end-of-year staff celebration, the Westminster Academy family gathered to honor beloved Coach Jeff Smith as he closes an incredible chapter of faithful service to WA.
For nearly five decades, Coach Smith has been far more than a teacher and coach. He has been a steady presence, a mentor, a Bible teacher, a source of wisdom and encouragement, and a living example of what it means to serve Christ and invest in generations of students faithfully.
The stories shared, hugs exchanged, and tears shed throughout the celebration reflected the deep impact he has had on countless lives across the WA community. His influence cannot be measured simply by the years served, but by the students, families, and colleagues who are different because of his faithfulness.
Coach Smith, thank you for giving your life so fully to this community. Your legacy will forever be woven into the story of Westminster Academy.
You will always be family.

One minute it was class awards and buddy time… the next it was pool parties, water balloons, bubbles, popcorn, and the final bell of the year.
The last day of school at Westminster Academy was filled with nonstop smiles, celebration, and all the fun that comes with closing out an unforgettable year together.
Across all divisions, students soaked up the final moments with classmates, teachers, and friends who helped make this year so special. From sweet Lower School traditions to end-of-year celebrations across campus, the joy was everywhere you looked.
What a historic and memorable year it has been at WA.
Happy summer, Lions—we’ll see you next year!

“WA is a different place that has shaped my Christian worldview, shaped my behavior, and will shape my future as well.”
After 13 years at Westminster Academy, Senior Nathaniel Lencse prepares to attend the University of South Florida to study Accounting.
Through experiences like the Capstone Program, Nathaniel learned the value of critical thinking, hard work, and taking ownership of his education. But more than academics, he says WA shaped who he is through a Christ-centered community that lives out the belief that “family never graduates.”
A WA Lifer whose story reflects the lasting impact of a school built on faith, purpose, and discipleship.
