✨Here is a recap of Med Ball 2026! 🎩The Roaring Twenties themed night was fittingly set at the California Automobile Museum where students danced, ate hors d’oeuvres, and toured charming vintage cars. 🚘 Thank you to this year’s Activities Coordinators and the rest of SBC for arranging an amazing and memorable event for us to celebrate our hard work. 💃

Thank you to the amazingly talented students and staff who performed at our annual Talent Show! ✨ The wonderful show was complemented with class superlatives and a successful silent auction. 👑

Diwali x Dia de los Mu***os

🪔 Yesterday our students celebrated Diwali and Dia de los Mu***os at a fusion event to remember our dead loved ones and celebrate the spread of light over darkness!

🌼 Students crafted a beautiful offrenda in the lobby to honor loved ones, especially commemorating Derick Quach from the class of 2025. They also had many activities such as mehndi and painting diyas (lamps) for Diwali, and icing skull cookies and coloring calaveras (decorative skulls) for Dia de los Mu***os!

🕸️ As the spooky season comes to a close, our students took a break from scary studying and instead celebrated with our annual Halloween Bash!

🎃 Our students and faculty got to show off their creativity through their incredible costumes and crafts such as pumpkin painting as well as some friendly competition in a pie eating contest, musical chairs, and costume contest!

This past weekend, we celebrated a defining milestone for the Class of 2029—the White Coat Ceremony!! 🥳🎉

💛 Surrounded by family, loved ones, and friends, our M1 students officially began their journey into medicine, marking the first step in a challenging yet deeply rewarding path to becoming physicians. 💙

The ceremony started with a warm welcome from our Dean, Dr. Richard Isaacs. Students also heard invaluable advice from our Student Body President, Chance Aguiar (M2), on behalf of the upperclassmen. ✍️ Our keynote speaker, Dr. Mark Hawk, inspired the class with wisdom drawn from his distinguished career as both a neurosurgeon and professor. 👏🧠

We’re grateful to everyone who continue to uplift and support our medical students, and we cannot wait to see the incredible impact this class will make in the world of medicine. 🩺

Each year, our Student Interest Groups (SIGs) come together to showcase their organizations to the incoming M1 class—introducing them to the wide range of extracurricular opportunities and events waiting for them. With so many SIGs to choose from, students can explore medical specialties 🩺, volunteer clinics 🏥, student associations 🤝, sports 🎾, arts 🎤, magic 🪄, and so much more! This past Friday, the Wellness Committee hosted our annual CNUCOM M1/M2 Mixer!☀️ The event kicked off our Big/Little mentorship program, giving M1s the chance to meet their M2 mentors. 👩🏻‍🏫 After a packed week of classes, some sunshine, board games, icebreakers, and a few volleyball matches were exactly what we needed.🌳🏐🌞

 Major shoutout to the Wellness Committee for keeping this tradition alive AND thank you board members Stephanie and Katelynne for absolutely killing it with the Big/Little matchups!🔥👏

And of course, thanks to everyone who showed up—it was so great linking up in person! And we very much appreciated the pet therapy!!🤩💙

Our M1s officially kicked off their medical school journey with a two-day orientation before classes begin. They were greeted with a spirited Welcome Roar, as CNUCOM faculty and staff came together to celebrate the arrival of our future physicians! 📢
Students gained valuable insight into CNUCOM’s mission through sessions led by our administrators, faculty, and the current M2 SBC president and class presidents!
