Interacting with natural environments allows children to learn by doing and experiment with ideas. In nature, children think, question, and make hypotheses — thereby developing inquisitive minds.

Like a tree, we are all special and unique in our own way. During this Invitation to Create, the children explored interesting ways to create a special tree. They made artistic decisions with the materials to draw, cut trace or paint a tree. Through this open-ended activity, children followed their own ideas and were free of specific directions. Now they can celebrate and admire the similarities and differences of each tree.
