Early this morning, our owner, our leader, my partner of 23 years, Director Stefanie's Mother, and Danica's grandmother passed away quietly in her sleep.

Many of you may not have meet her as she has been sick for sometime. But when healthy she was a dynamic leader and wonderful teacher. Prior to owning Sheldon Acres for 15 years, she was a public school teacher in the Sacramento City School District.

Her association with Sheldon Acres goes back 40 years. She set up the original summer swim program. Teaching was her passion and her life touched thousands of children over her life.

More details on her Funeral and Memorial will be forthcoming.

We here at Sheldon Acres mourn her passing. Say a prayer for her today. We will miss her greatly.

Today we had our annual Christmas Party for the children. It was great. We hade cupcakes and cookies, sang some songs, and then, best of all, got a visit from big guy in the red suit. That's right, Santa was at Sheldon Acres. All the children got their pictures take with him and a gift bag for Sheldon Acres. Lots of fun.

What a great times was had by all. Thank you parents for the large turnout.

Harvest Festival 2021
On Wednesday October 6th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am we will be having our Harvest Festival. We will have hay bale climbing, hay fights, pony rides and a petting zoo.
In addition, we will have our bounce house up and best of all, PUMPKINS.
This is a fun event and the children each get a pumpkin. Parents are invited and siblings are welcome. Each sibling will also get a pumpkin.
This has always been a fun even and it is new to most of the children as we did not have one last year. Yeah, COVID.
For those Parents coming, please be here by 9:30 am.
This year for the first time, we will also have a Magician doing “Kid Friendly” magic tricks. It will be fun times for all!!

At Sheldon Acres we do all we can to ensure that we provide a safe place for your children and our staff. With the recent spread of the Delta Variant of COVID we are taking another step forward in prevention. We have just purchased a disinfectant misting machine. Every morning before we open, each and every room will be disinfected.

We will continue to to use disinfectant wipes on tables and hard surfaces as well as Lysol spray used on toys and larger areas. In addition we will continue to do a weekly deep clean of the entire school.

We are open to other suggestions on making Sheldon Acres safe for everyone.

We are now accepting applications for our Before and After School Program. We service Pleasant Grove Elementary, CW Dillard Elementary and Arnold Adreani Elementary. We provide transportation to and from the schools as well as snacks. Contact us at 916-686-8344 or [email protected].
