Capital #6
UN Reno's Annie Mae Flores!
- Capital Professional Development Committee
Annie has been in Circle K for a whole year now and gained so much from it including a bae. Even though she is an upperclassman she continues to find time to come out to service events. People love seeing her around, usually, and seeing her around is always a fun time, usually. Go home Annie your roommates miss you and your room is too clean.
What would you like to accomplish before you leave CKI?
- "Besides actually making time to go to service events (LOL), I want to be able to bring in new members into our fold by showing them how awesome of an organization Circle K International is. Compared to other organizations that I have been involved with in the past, Circle K was one of those things that were more than just going to meetings and events, and then seeing everyone again at the next meeting/event. Through Circle K, not only was I able to help my community through various service events, But I was also able to make new relationships with individuals within my campus as well as those from other universities. I hope to share my experience with other students and get them to become “one of us” (haha)."
Want to give advice to any incoming Freshman to ensure the best CKI Experience?
- ""Don't be afraid to go to those service events by yourself! Remember that branching out is a part of the college experience, and Circle K events are the best way to do that. I mean, you get to help out the community AND get those service hours that make your resume look uber good. What’s better than that?
Another thing: don’t be afraid to run for that leadership spot at the end of the year just because you only have one year of Circle K experience. Show everyone how much passion you have for the organization and your determination to make the changes you hope to make. Good luck!"
Want to give thanks to anyone?
- "Myself! Nah. I'd like to thank everyone that I've met, in-passing or otherwise, for making Circle K feel like home. Thanks guys!"
Annie will graduate eventually with a major in Political Science!

UC Davis' Jacky Liu
Past Positions
- 2014-2015 Family Head
- 2015-2016 District Membership Development and Education Committee
Aside from being known for living in a fun apartment and usually delivering food, throughout the past couple year Jacky was able to directly influence many of the clubs current active members. As a family head managed to bring his members close together, and on the District MDE committee he was able to share what he learned works in the organization to help the clubs in the division.
What would you like to accomplish before you leave CKI?
- "My #1 during my final year of CKI Bucket List is to try and keep in touch with people that I've met in CKI over the years. Although, I may no longer have as much time to dedicate to CKI now, I would still like to come out to some of my favorite CKI events, such as Key to College. It would definitely be one of my priorities to keep up with people that I've met thanks to CKI."
Want to give advice to any incoming Freshman to ensure the best CKI Experience?
- "Don't be scared to break out of your bubble. Reach out to a board member/ older member. They can help you in so much ways in Circle K and in school. Chances are they had the same questions that you had when they were freshmen and hopefully they've discovered the answers to those questions. Try to go out to district/divisional events and meet cool and awesome people outside of your club! Make friends with people in the club, your friendship won't be limited to just CKI. To summarize, open up and talk to new people and discover who you want to be in college."
Jacky will be graduating next Fall with a major in Food Science!
