Earlier this spring, we celebrated the incredible achievements of our students, faculty, and alumni at the 93rd Annual Slide Rule Dinner and Awards Ceremony.

From inspiring speeches to meaningful moments with friends, family and colleagues, it was a night worth revisiting.

As a transfer student, Detroit Mercy’s Computer Science program exceeded Sara Shannan’s expectations academically.

But as a mother of young children, it was the support from faculty and staff that left the biggest impact.

“It was difficult trying to balance everything, but the professors were always understanding,” she said. “They were my community that I really needed, and I appreciate them for that.”
