This marks our 9th year as an Industry-Led Trainer with the Grow Detroit’s Young Talent Program, and today we officially hired 19 young people for our summer GDYT Nursing Pre-Apprenticeship Program.

What an incredible group of eager, driven young people we had the opportunity to meet today.

From high school juniors to college graduates, Nursing Detroit is proud to create unique healthcare career pathways that meet young people where they are while helping guide them toward where they aspire to be.

Thank you to GDYT for continuing to support our mission of building sustainable career pathways through training, mentorship, and youth development. Together, we are exposing, educating, and empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals right here in Detroit.

We’re celebrating our SECOND graduating CNA cohort in partnership with Siena Literacy Center — and this one means something special.

These graduates showed up with determination, commitment, and the courage to build something bigger for themselves and their families. Many balanced life, work, language barriers, fear, uncertainty, and still made the decision to keep going. And that matters.

At Nursing Detroit, this is why we do the work. Not just to hand out certificates, but to create real pathways into healthcare careers for people who deserve opportunity, access, and support.

Watching this second cohort cross the finish line reminds us that representation, education, and community support change lives. These future nursing assistants are now stepping into the workforce with skills, confidence, and purpose.
