The ITS Helpdesk often gets requests for QR codes for various sites and online forms. Creating a QR code is available to anyone using a free QR code generator.
QR codes are handy barcode type images that users can quickly scan using the camera on a smartphone. By aiming the camera at the graphic, the phone will detect the code and perform an associated action. In most cases, they are used to direct people to a web link or an online form, but individuals can also use them to share contact information or send an email.
Creating a simple code that takes visitors to a specific website starts by finding a free online QR code generator such as https://www.qr-code-generator.com. Copy the URL to the site you wish to direct visitors to and paste the URL in the text area of the application you've chosen. The application should generate a scanner code that you can download and save, usually in a jpg or png format. You can then integrate the downloaded graphic into your own publications.

Good morning and Happy New Year!
As you may already know, your Blackboard classes are now available for updating for the Winter 2021 semester. Remember, CCS classes begin on January 19th, the Tuesday after Martin Luther King day. At this time, Please make the necessary updates to your course. Make sure you upload your approved syllabus as soon as possible, as students will be looking for more details before classes officially begin. We also encourage you to welcome your students to your class with an announcement introducing yourself and brief information about what to expect this semester.
In addition to your course content, please be mindful of retaining the default course navigation that includes the homepage, course content, announcements, my grades, and the course calendar. These items are in place to create consistency for the student experience. To further explain these navigation items, review this brief video at https://vimeo.com/481471026.
Please feel free to contact Andy Whyte ([email protected]) or Sean Evans ([email protected]) with any further questions about your Blackboard course. We can also assist you directly with updating your course if you feel you require additional assistance.

You can share the link to a form you've built, but another option is to embed the form directly into your course content using HTML code."
