Corktown Historical Society The Corktown Historical Society was founded to educate the public about our history and preservation.

The Corktown Historical Society was founded in 1979 in order to preserve data touching on the history of Detroit's Corktown neighborhood, disseminate information about such history, advocate for the restoration and preservation of historic buildings, and to perpetuate the memory of those who, by their labor and heroism, contributed to make the history of this neighborhood.
