Over the past few years MSA has grown to be a very active organization that serves campus Non-Muslim and Muslim communities alike. Our servitude comes in the form of events such as Islam Awareness Week, Fast-a-thon, Dawah tables and Qiyams. Through outreach, we collaborate with organizations in the surrounding area to create community service events such as the Greening of Detroit, Gleaners food b
ank, and participation in soup kitchens. We also host weekly Jummah prayers that are open to the public, weekly sisters and brothers Halaqas, and a Book Club. The MSA is dedicated to offering a support system for its members and provides an atmosphere that nourishes each member’s passions and interests. Whether it is spiritual, personal, or academic, the MSA strives to help the community in the best possible manner with hopes of building a better Islamic environment on campus and in the surrounding community. Our purpose is to serve Allah (SWT) in the best way possible based on the precepts established in the Qur’an and in the Sunnah. It is this ideology that unites the members of the MSA under one umbrella and motivates us to work willingly for the cause of Islam. The eboard emails are as follows:
