University of Toledo Detroit Alumni Chapter

Via John Blakowski: A number of Detroit area UT Alumni participated in a UT recruiting event at ‘The Henry’ in Dearborn. There were about 20-25 in attendance some of whom had already gone through the admission process and some who were still trying to decide. After some introductory remarks from Bill Peirce, Interim Director of Undergraduate Admission, he introduced staff resources for the University. Bill also introduced the three alumni, Abe Barakat, Larry Yonovitz and John Blakowski. They gave short biographical speeches and answered random questions from the prospects. The crowd seemed to represent many different disciplines, e.g., pharmacy, IT, pre-med, chemical engineering. Even our two Rocket mascots attended.
