This might be before y’all time! I put this album on this morning, haven’t listened to in a long time. But this was my jam album. I was living in Nashville, Tennessee going to school and this 1992 album was on repeat.

I realize people have a choice on how they spend their money and who they spend it with. I am grateful and appreciative to the support of others for my music ministry.

Today I am grateful to serve in prison ministry with One Day With God Camp. God speaks a lot about the prisoner throughout the Bible, and Paul wrote a lot of the books of the New Testament while he was incarcerated. So I always look at the opportunity to serve from that standpoint when I’m interacting with men and women inside.

I got to personally Mentor a young lady on yesterday. As well as hear other women’s stories. And what I know for sure, if you don’t know their story you’ll never understand the choices they had. Also, I got to tour the skills trades building where the women gain certifications and degrees in various fields. We can’t talk about rehabilitation or reform without providing a skill set needed once they return to the community.

I learned a lot and understand the need for hope and the love of Christ is beyond great. 🙏

I had no idea when God gave me this platform through music that I was building a brand. I knew my name was to be unique from a dream I had.

But I was already doing promotions and marketing in the gospel music industry. And I knew I had to make sure I was true to purpose, because of what I saw and experienced.

So, your brand should be rooted in purpose, not popularity. Ask yourself:

* What problem am I called to solve?
* Who am I called to serve?
* How does my faith influence my mission?

When your assignment is clear, your messaging becomes consistent and impactful.
