Please join Wexford & Missaukee's Housing Service Agencies in Cadillac for the 3rd Annual Homeless Awareness Walk. Together we can raise awareness, connect people with resources, break the stigma surrounding homelessness, and show compassion.
πŸ“ Start: New Hope Center – 1125 Lincoln Street, Cadillac, MI 49601
➑️ End: Cadillac Commons – 117 West Cass Street, Cadillac, MI 49601
After the walk, join us inside the Commons building to:
✨ Hear powerful stories from individuals who have experienced homelessness in our local communities
✨ Connect with housing service agencies and learn how they support those in need
✨ Discover ways YOU can get involved and make a difference
AND to enjoy some hot chocolate and yummy treats.
Please note, if you or someone you know if experiencing homelessness, please contact our coordinated entry line at 1-844-900-0500.
Are you part of an agency or community group that supports those experiencing homelessness? πŸ’™
We’d love to have you join us! You can host an information booth at the end of the walk or simply connect with us to learn how you can get involved!

Is Homelessness Important to You??

11/05/2025

November is Homeless Awareness Month πŸ πŸ’œ

This month, we’re focusing on learning and understanding the criminalization of homelessness, a growing issue where people experiencing homelessness face fines, arrests, or penalties simply for trying to survive in public spaces.

By educating ourselves on how these laws impact individuals and communities, we can better advocate for compassionate, effective solutions that address the root causes of homelessness like a lack of affordable housing, access to services, and support networks.

Awareness leads to understanding. Understanding leads to change. πŸ’‘
