Today, Heritage Works collaborated with Literacy For Kids and Inside Out to visit Hutchinson Elementary. There, author Alicia D. Williams shared her book Nani and the Lion.

There were drummers on hand to help bring the book to life for the students. We are pleased to have partnered with committed originations to bring this event to life.

TTemate Institute BDCis one of our partners offering internships this summer.

TéMaTé Institute for Black Dance and Culture is a social justice organization using dance as a tool for community engagement. And this summer, interns will have a hands-on experience with African and Afro-diasporic traditions.

NKSK Events + Production is one of our partners working to offer an internship this summer as part of Grow Detroit's Young Talent (GDYT)!

GDYT is a citywide summer jobs program that offers a wide range of job opportunities and training experiences for young adults aged 18-24.

Students who have worked with our programs in the past have collaborated with NKSK Events to put on citywide events and have put together documentaries. If you're interested in learning about production, this internship is for you. You'll gain hands-on experience in video production whilst exploring your creative talents.
