We are incredibly proud to announce that Chanel Smith (6th grade) from Trix Academy have been selected to represent the Detroit Pistons at the NBA Math Hoops Global Championship in New York City in June! 🗽✈️ She will be one of 28 students who have been selected worldwide. This is just Trix Academy's 2nd year implementing Math Hoops and now she will be representing the state of Michigan!

But wait, the news gets even better... 🥁

A massive congratulations to Ms. Paulasia Sims for being named as one of four 2026 NBA Math Hoops Outstanding Educators! 🏆🍎 Your dedication to our students and passion for making learning fun is truly unmatched.

From Detroit to NYC, Chanel and Ms. Sims are showing everyone how hard work, teamwork, and a love for math can take you straight to the top.
