Now is a nice time to give as it gets colder to a place you know your money will be used well to feed people in need. Please see below, give it you can, and share. Thank you
The Charles R. Drew Transition Center is a post-high school for adult students, ages 18-26, learning daily living and employment skills. At the Charles R.
Drew Transition Center, students learn work skills and daily living skills to increase their level of functional independence. The work-based learning program offers students an opportunity to learn work ethics that are necessary to gain and retain future entry-level employment.

Over my career, there have been many things I have been proud of, accomplished, and been recognized by the districts, media, families, and administration. Many personal things I've done om my own as well such as getting to know Elisha Ann Kitchen and her family helping try to ease their pain, community cleanups, our amazing work at the Drew Transition Center and much more!
On Friday, I got this letter... "Good morning. This email is to verify Jay Greenberg has been nominated for the 2024-25 Michigan Teacher of the Year. Jay Greenberg has been recognized as an outstanding teacher leader and is invited to apply for 2024-25 Michigan Teacher of the Year.
Congratulations to Jay Greenberg on this nomination!"
I am so excited, overjoyed, and can't wait to begin the process to hopefully win this prestigious honor!

The Charles R. Drew Transition Center is looking for your donations to help raise money for home technology! Unfortunately, the grant that Detroit Public Community Schools received did not cover our grade “14"/post high school vocational center program. We are a center for disabled young adults ages 18-26. These students are going to need technology at home to complete their work and learn their skills. I am the lead for this special program to raise funds for our 600 students for their virtual learning due to the district’s plans of home schooling/technology needs.
I’m hopeful that you can either sponsor, one, or more computers as well as pass this message along to any businesses that you think might be can help/donate! ALL donations are tax deductible and you will receive a donation sheet as well as have your name/company name placed on the back(s) of each computer you sponsor.
We are looking at the following unit below that the district purchased for K-12 students or something comparable. Each unit/donation we are asking for is approximately: $200.00 each. You can send us a personal/company check and you will get a confirmation of your donation/order for the students! Please message/email me for the address/more details how to send funds.
I thank you for your help, support, and passing this along. Please instant message me on Facebook/contact me at [email protected] to help make payment arrangements or if you have additional questions.
We thank you so much for your donations and support of our special needs 18-26 young adult vocational programs!
Below is a "SAMPLE" and not the actual unit/specs.
